May Garden Walk

The May Garden Walk is an annual tour of our Capitol Hill neighborhood with stops at several carefully selected gardens showcasing the beauty of the spring.

The tour will be held at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, May 14 beginning on the East Capitol Street side of the United States Supreme Court.

Keely Shaughnessy, a member of the Architect of the Capitol's landscaping team will provide information on the Court's East Capitol Street gardens.  She has degrees in plant science and landscape horticulture.

At 7:00 pm will be a short presentation of native plants in the 4th Street NE gardens of Peabody Elementary School (between Constitution and Stanton Park).

At 7:30 pm will be a Garden Club Happy Hour at Cafe Berlin, 322 Massachusetts Avenue NE.  The club will provide appetizers; participants will purchase their own beverages. There will be a white wine, a red wine and a beer special for club members!
