    View the first documentary about the pioneering work of landscape architect Beatrix Farrand (1872-1959), designer of Washington, D.C.’s Dumbarton Oaks, and the only woman among the 11 founding members of the American Society of Landscape Architects. 

    Join six-time Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker and Yale Fellow Karyl Evans as she talks with Darwina L. NealFASLA, landscape architect and former chief of Cultural Resources Preservation Services, National Capital Region, National Park Service and Maureen JosephASLA, Regional Historical Landscape Architect, National Capital Region, National Park Service, about Farrand, her work, and her place as the “mother” of landscape architecture in the United States.
